HOWELL, Mich. - In the first game of the doubleheader, Lawrence Tech dominated with a 10-0 shutout victory.
Sarah Basket earned the win in the circle, delivering a stellar five-inning performance where she allowed only three hits while striking out five. Offensively, the Blue Devils were relentless, highlighted by a six-run explosion in the fifth inning.
Delaney Monroe led the charge with two doubles and two runs scored, while
Ashley Stafford contributed a team-high three hits.
Sophia Propps and
Zoey Markey each drove in three runs to power the lopsided win.
Lawrence Tech completed the sweep with a 6-2 win in the second game, fueled by a late-inning surge. The Blue Devils took an early lead in the first inning on a two-run double by Delaney Monroe. Natilee Pridemore earned the win on the mound by tossing a complete game with five strikeouts and allowing only two hits. After the game was tied in the sixth, LTU responded immediately in the seventh with four runs to secure the victory. Key offensive contributions came from Brenna Crittenden and Sophia Propps, who both recorded three hits and combined for four runs scored. Alyssa Bloomfield also added two hits and a run to the Blue Devils' 12-hit effort.
The Blue Devils will have another road game against the Grizzlies of Oakland on the 14th. With the season nearing its end, the Blue Devils will look to keep the momentum that they have built in conference play.Â
