Rachel Mease

Rachel Mease (daughter of Mike and Ashley and sister Addison) embarks on her coaching
journey with the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils, beginning her first season in 2024. A recent
graduate of Lourdes University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in 2024, Mease brings a
great deal of softball experience to her new role.

During her collegiate career, Mease played three years of college softball. She began at the
University of Findlay, where she earned two Academic All-Conference honors and a spot on the
Third-Team All-GMAC roster while going to the regional playoffs for the first time in program
history! In her junior year, she transferred to Lourdes University. Although a career-ending
injury shortened her playing time, it allowed her to graduate early and transition into coaching.
Shortly after graduation, she accepted the coaching position at Lawrence Technological
University.

Mease’s softball journey began at the age of four, largely influenced by her family. Together,
they competed with Team Ohio Gray, achieving numerous tournament victories, state titles, and
national rankings. In high school at North Ridgeville, Ohio, Rachel excelled on the field, setting
multiple records and earning statewide recognition.

Her standout high school career included an impressive .536 batting average, along with setting
records in 2019 for stolen bases (33) and in 2021 for hits (60), doubles (14), triples (9), and runs
scored (37). Her achievements earned her numerous accolades, including: First-Team All-Southwest Conference (2018, 2019, 2021), First-Team All-Lorain County (2018, 2019, 2021),  First-Team All-Northeast Ohio (2019, 2021), Second-Team All-Ohio (2021)

Additionally, Mease was honored as the Offensive MVP and named Lorain County Division I
Senior Player of the Year while being a three-year co-captain as a four-year varsity letterman
leading the team to the elite eight playoffs in 2021.
Now, Rachel Mease brings her passion for the game and wealth of experience to Lawrence Tech,
where she is eager to help shape the next generation of softball athletes.
