Paige Wright women's basketball head coach 2024

Paige Wright

Paige Wright was named Head Coach of the Lawrence Technological University (LTU) women’s basketball program in 2024, bringing with her a strong background as both a player and a coach.

A Fort Wayne, Indiana native, Wright earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication from California University of Pennsylvania, where she also enjoyed a standout playing career. During her time with the Vulcans, she was part of a historic run that included the 2015 PSAC Conference Tournament Championship, the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championship, and the 2016 PSAC Regular Season and Conference Tournament titles. She later continued her academic journey by earning a master’s degree in Sport Management from Minot State University.

Wright began her coaching career at Dawson Community College (2018–2021), where she coached three NJCAA All-Americans and six All-Conference selections while helping the program rank among the Top 25 nationally in team GPA each year. She then served as Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Huntington University (2022–2024), where she played a pivotal role in the program’s growth. Under her leadership, the Foresters improved their win total from 10 to 15 and rose in conference standings from 8th to 6th, making the conference tournament both seasons. Her work also helped develop five All-Conference players, including one Freshman of the Year honoree.

Since taking the helm at LTU, Wright has continued her commitment to excellence on and off the court. In her first season, seven players earned conference All-Academic honors, reflecting her emphasis on developing the whole student-athlete.

Wright chose LTU because of its balance between athletic and academic achievement:
"I chose LTU because you can develop the whole person on and off the court. Not only is this a place where you can compete for championships, but it’s also a place that’s going to push you academically to make sure you are prepared once you graduate. I believe in the vision that AD Meltzer has for athletics here at LTU and knew I wanted to be a part of that."
