After a four-year playing career, Josh Stein joined the coaching staff as the graduate assistant in the Fall of 2020. After a one-year break from coaching, Stein will return to the LTU coaching staff in Fall '24.

Stein was a member of the LTU men's golf team for four years, 2016-2020.  While at LTU, he earned All-WHAC Second-Team honors in the 2018-2019, and 2019-2020 seasons. He finished his LTU career with a scoring average of 77.31. Stein shot his career-low of 66 (-6) in the first tournament of the season in 2018-2019 at The Grande in Jackson, MI. Stein played his high school golf for the Detroit Catholic Central Shamrocks from 2012-2016, earning two state championships. Stein completed his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, and Master's Degree in Engineering Management, both from LTU.
