Scott Trudeau started working at Lawrence Tech in 2002 as the assistant director of student activities. He helped triple Lawrence Tech's sport offerings in club and intramurals as well as develop a comprehensive fitness program on campus in his first five years.

Trudeau took the reigns from LTU Hall of Famer Al McLaughlin and became the athletic director in 2010. At that time the department consisted of himself and an assistant director. In his first year as the AD, he made the push into the NAIA and transitioned five club teams into varsity programs after an almost 50-year hiatus from athletics at Lawrence Tech. After a year as a member of the Association of Independent Institutions within the NAIA, Lawrence Tech became a member of the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference and introduced another seven teams in 2012.

Trudeau was named the Athletic Director of the Year by his fellow WHAC athletic directors in 2013-2014. He now oversees 30 teams in an athletic department that has grown from two full-time employees to over 40 during his tenure.

A proud graduate of Central Michigan University, he completed his undergraduate degree in sports studies, business administration, and coaching before completing his master's degree in sports administration. In his time at Mt. Pleasant, Trudeau worked with the CMU football, track, and softball teams as well as spending four seasons coaching football at the high school level.

Trudeau is married to his wife Jessica and has a son named Jack.Â
