SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech Blue Devils dropped a 3-0 contest to No. 16 University of Northwestern Ohio on Oct. 21 at LTU Athletic Field in Southfield, Mich.

Lawrence Tech's (6-9, 2-5 WHAC) Joey Knoff (SO/Midland, MI) kept it even, early as he withstood an offensive attack from the Racers, including two straight shots at point blank range.

The Racers pressure finally broke LTU as they capitalized on a defensive mistake that led to the first goal by UNOH's Sergio Royo to take a 1-0 lead in the 42nd minute. Sixty-seconds later, Carlos Monterrey shot was saved but Pascal Debowiak cleaned up the rebound to make it 2-0.

Northwestern Ohio added an insurance goal in the 52nd minute when Debowiak scored off a corner kick that deflected to his foot to make it, 3-0.

LTU was outshot 10-4 in shots on target and 7-0 on corner kicks. Knoff made seven saves in loss.

Lawrence Tech returns to the field Oct. 25 when they welcome Concordia University (Mich.) to LTU Athletic Field for a 4pm kickoff.
