Ann Arbor, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech women's soccer team was shutout, 5-0 to Concordia University - Ann Arbor (Mich.) on Oct 22. The Blue Devils fall to 0-6-1 in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play and 5-9-2 overall.
Lawrence Tech fell behind quickly as Julia Palushaj scored the first of her four goals in the third minute of play. Palushaj made it 2-0 three minutes later when she headed it past Heather Derstine off a corner kick. She then tallied her third goal of the first half in the 39th minute on assists from Jenna Printz and Rachel Johnston.
Palushaj added one goal in the second half and Erika Eneix scored her first of the season to give the Cardinals a 5-0 win.
The Blue Devils finished the game with six shots on goal including five from Sarah Britain. Derstine made six saves while allowing five goals.
Lawrence Tech returns to the pitch on Oct. 25 when they face (RV) Aquinas College (Mich.) at 12:30pm at LTU Athletic Field.
