SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech women's soccer team hosts Cornerstone University (Mich.) on Oct. 7 at 4pm on the LTU Athletic Field. Lawrence Tech (5-5-2, 0-2-1 WHAC) comes into the game having lost 3-0 to No. 11 University of Northwestern Ohio on Oct. 4. Heather Derstine (SO/Midland, MI) made nine saves in the loss to increase her save total to 67 this season. Derstine ranks 27th in the NAIA in total saves.
Claire Huddas (JR/Canton, MI) remains the team leader in goals scored (4), shots (34), and shots on goal (18). Sarah Britain (SO/Kalamazoo, MI) and Nicole Propst (SO/Warren, MI) both have three goals apiece, while Hannah Huff (JR/Waterford, MI) adds two.
Cornerstone (7-1-2, 2-1 WHAC) have won six of their last seven games with the lone loss coming to Northwestern Ohio on Sept. 27. Recently, the Eagles have defeated Indiana Tech 4-1, followed by a 2-0 victory over Concordia University - Ann Arbor (Mich.).
Lexie Brisson-Fast leads Cornerstone with eight goals - three game-winning - and six assists through 10 games played. Kerri Hoffman has five goals and five assists through eight games. Josie Litty and Morgan Haddad both have two goals apiece.
Brisson-Fast ranks 20th in the NAIA in total assists and game winning goals. Brisson-Fast also ranks 23rd in assists per game (0.600), 24th in game winning goals per game (0.300), and 34th in total points (22). Hoffman ranks 21st in assists per game (0.630), while Allison Snowden ranks 21st in goals against per game (0.670).
