Game Preview: Men' Soccer hits the road for match with Rochester

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech men's soccer team has a three-game winning streak heading into its match at Rochester College (Mich.) on Sept. 10 at Ultimate Soccer Arena in Pontiac, Mich., starting at 3 pm.

Lawrence Tech (3-1) are off to the best start in program history, eclipsing the most wins in a given season with 14 games remaining. The Blue Devils are now 3-0 on the road, outscoring its opponents 11-5 including a 5-1 win over Cincinnati Christian University (Ohio) on Sept. 6.

Matt Gibiec (FR/Saint Joseph, MI) and Justin Ritchey (SR/Willis, MI) have led the way with three goals each on this current road trip. Joey Knoff (SO/Midland, MI) made 13 saves in two starts with Josh Lance (SR/Traverse City, MI) making six saves in his lone start against Huntington University (Ind.)

Rochester (2-2) defeated Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foe University of Michigan - Dearborn 3-0 on Sept. 8. The Warriors were led by Justin Kane who had two goals in the game. Kane joins Joey Beshara and Matt Gross who all have two goals this season.

In goal, the Warriors started Ethan West twice while giving Trevor Hermiz and Kane a spot start this season. West is 0-2 in net with 16 saves and six goals allowed. Hermiz and Kane both tallied shutouts in their starts and combined to make six saves.
