ADRIAN, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University (LTU) women's soccer team fell to No. 15-ranked Siena Heights University (Mich.) 4-0 on Saturday night at O'Laughlin Stadium in Adrian, Mich.
Lawrence Tech (4-7, 1-3 WHAC) goalkeeper Heather Derstine (JR/Midland, MI) faced 18 shots on goal, making 14 saves in the 4-0 loss to the Saints. Derstine has now made double-digit saves in four of her last five games. The Blue Devils finished the game with four shots, two on goal.
The Saints took a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute following a goal by Taylor Mulder. LTU would keep Siena Heights off the board for the rest of the first half. However, in the 54th minute, Samantha Bartelotti gave the Saints a 2-0 lead. Siena Heights went on to score two more goals to finish with a 4-0 win.
LTU is back on the field October 14 when they travel to Grand Rapids, Mich., to face Davenport University (Mich.) at 4 p.m.
