SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University (LTU) men's soccer team defeated Siena Heights University 3-1 on Saturday evening in Adrian, Mich.

Lawrence Tech (6-5-1, 2-2-1 WHAC) opened the scoring the in the 60th minute as Justin Pilarski (SR/Royal Oak, MI) set-up Alvaro Garcia (FR/Palma, Islas Baleares, Spain) who crossed it into the back of the net for a 1-0 lead.

Siena Heights (6-3-2, 1-2-2 WHAC) evened the score three minutes later on an Alexandre Santos goal in the 62nd minute.

Chris Serwatka (FR/Troy, Mich.) gave the Blue Devils a 2-1 lead in the 70th minute, taking advantage of the loose ball in front of the goal. Matt Gibiec (SO/Saint Joseph, MI) sealed the win with a goal in the 88th minute on an assist from Pablo Ripodas (SO/Navarra, Spain).

Lawrence Tech was led by Gibiec who finished the game with a goal on five shots - three on goal. Justin Pilarski recorded an assist, while Serwatka and Garcia each had a goal on one shot on goal.

LTU is back on the road October 14 when they travel to Grand Rapids, Mich., to face Cornerstone University (Mich.) at 7 p.m.
