LTU falls to Lourdes 4-1

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University (LTU) women's soccer team fell 4-1 to Lourdes University (Ohio) on Wednesday afternoon at the LTU Athletic Field.

Lawrence Tech (4-10, 1-6 WHAC) opened the scoring when Alexandra Bryden (SR/Canton, MI) crossed the ball to Sarah Trapp (FR/Plymouth, Mich.) who headed it into the net for a 1-0 lead eight minutes into the game.

Lourdes (7-6-1, 4-3 WHAC) scored four unanswered goals as Kendyl Christian and Remy Houttekier made it 2-1 heading in the halftime. Nichole Miller and Jada Foster notched two second half goals as the Gray Wolves won the game 4-1.

LTU was outshot 24-10, including 10-5 on shots on goal. Claire Huddas (SR/Canton, MI) and Trapp finished the game with three shots each, while Heather Derstine (JR/Midland, MI) made three saves and Megan Dixon (JR/Andover, MN) recorded two saves in 14 minutes of action.

Lawrence Tech is back on the field Saturday, October 24 at 4 p.m. when they travel to Grand Rapids, Mich., to take on Cornerstone University (Mich.).
