SOUTFIELD, Mich. - Hali Butler (SR/Fairport Harbor, OH) has earned her first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Player of the Week honor following her clutch performance at No. 24-ranked Goshen (Ind.) College on Saturday, December 19.
Butler finished the game with a season high 18 points and a team high six rebounds. She hit the game-winning shot with 10 seconds left to give LTU a 74-73 win over Goshen. Butler added two assists and two steals. LTU is now 7-1 on the season when Butler scores in double-figures.
Butler is averaging 12.4 points per game this season including 13.0 points per game in the month of December.
Butler joins Blue Devil Allison Kitchen (JR/Clio, MI) as WHAC Player of the Week honorees and is the third such honor for LTU this season.
Lawrence Tech and Butler are back in action on Tuesday, December 22 at 1 p.m. when they travel to Olivet, Mich., to face NCAA Division III Olivet (Mich.) College in the final non-conference game of the season.
