Women’s Basketball Faces Setback in WHAC Contest Against Madonna

LIVONIA, Mich. - In a challenging WHAC Conference basketball game on December 13, 2025, the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils faced a tough opponent in Madonna University. The game took place in Livonia, Mich., where the Blue Devils hoped to improve their season record but fell short with a final score of 65-48 in favor of Madonna.

The game started with optimism for the Blue Devils, with an early lead initiated by a three-pointer from Sydney Garon, assisted by Kate Jacobs. The first period showed a strong start from Lawrence Tech, including multiple successful plays like a pivotal layup by LaChelle Moreland-Jones taking the lead to 5-0. The first period ended tied at 10-10, keeping hopes alive for the Blue Devils. In the second period, continued efforts from Lawrence Tech briefly led the game with a 7-point lead, primarily due to the offensive push by players like Kate Jacobs. However, the half ended with Madonna ahead, 28-23.
