SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University (LTU) women's soccer team hosts Cleary University (Mich.) starting at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16 at the LTU Athletic Field.
Lawrence Tech (2-2) is returning home following a two-game road trip to Goshen, Ind., where they Blue Devils went 1-1. LTU defeated Goshen College (Ind.) 2-1 on Friday, September 11, scoring two unanswered goals in the final 15 minutes. On Saturday, the Blue Devils lost a 1-0 decision to University of Saint Francis (Ind.) 1-0.
The Blue Devils have scored six goals this season including Alexandra Bryden (SR/Canton, MI) and Lisa Zaffina (SR/Waterford, MI)'s game-winning goals. Hannah Huff (SR/Waterford, MI) leads the team in shots with nine - five of them on goal. Claire Huddas (SR/Canton, MI) adds eight shots, while Nicole Propst (JR/Warren, MI) and Zaffina each have seven shots through four games.
Heather Derstine (JR/Midland, MI) has started all four games, making 18 saves and allowing six goals.
Cleary (2-3) are 2-1 in their last three games, including a 5-0 win over Andrews University (Mich.) on Tuesday, September 15. Shelby Marsh led the way for the Cougars, taking three shots on goal, scoring two including the game-winner. Alexis Whatcott finished the game with one goal on four shots.
Nicole Nadolski started in net and made three saves on three shots.
