PONTIAC, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University (LTU) women's soccer team fell in the final two minutes to Rochester College (Mich.), 2-1 at Ultimate Arena in Pontiac, Mich.
Lawrence Tech (3-3) opened the scoring with Alexandra Bryden (SR/Canton, MI) making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. Rochester equalized in the 39th minute when Ashley Peck beat LTU goalkeeper Heather Derstine (JR/Midland, MI).
The teams stayed even until the 89th minute when Warrior's Taylor Bunyak broke the tie, giving Rochester a 2-1 lead with less than two minutes left in the game.
Lawrence Tech was led by Bryden with a goal on two shots, while Sarah Britain (JR/Kalamazoo, MI) added three shots. Derstine made five saves on seven shots.
Lawrence Tech is back on the pitch Monday, September 21 at 4 p.m. in Huntington, Ind. as they face the Foresters of Huntington University (Ind.).
