SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University women's soccer team travels to Livonia, Michigan on Wednesday, October 12 for a 3:30 P.M. match with Madonna University.
Lawrence Tech (9-2, 4-1 WHAC) enter this game following a 3-0 loss to RV Davenport (Mich.) University on October 8. The Blue Devils were limited to just two shots compared to Davenport's 27. Tia Lamie and Caitlin Orgera each had a shot while Heather Derstine made 11 saves in net for LTU.
Madonna (5-3-3, 2-2-1 WHAC) ended their most recent match in a double overtime draw with Aquinas (Mich.) College on October 7. Kelly Capoccia led the Crusaders with two shots on goal and goalkeeper Julia Stewart finished with five saves on the day.
Stewart has recorded 49 saves on the year while allowing 11 goals. Capoccia has totaled eight goals and two assists, ranking her second in game-winning goals (3) and fourth in total goals (8) in the WHAC. She is followed by Nicolette Vultaggio who has notched four goals and two assists.
