SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men's soccer team travels to Madonna (Mich.) University on Wednesday in Livonia, Mich. Opening kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

Lawrence Tech (5-3-2, 0-2-2 WHAC) fell to No. 5-ranked Davenport (Mich.) University 2-0 on Saturday at LTU Athletic Field. Max Jewett (FR/Sterling Heights, Mich.) made two saves in net while Nico Rbp (FR/Madrid, Spain) and Tyler Winningham (SR/Canton, MI) each had a shot on goal.

The Blue Devils have outscored their opponents 25-14 scoring 2.5 goals per game which ranks fourth in the WHAC. LTU is averaging 11.7 shots per game including 6.4 shots on goal. They have a 54.7 shooting percentage on goal and a 21.4 shot percentage.

In the NAIA, Nico ranks 37th in assists per game (0.500) and 41st in total assists (5). Mateusz Gibiec (JR/Goleszow, Poland) ranks 38th game winning goals per game (0.250). Nico leads the Blue Devils with six goals, five assists, 28 shots, and 18 shots on goal. Craig Martin (SO/Motherwell, North Lanarkshire,) has led the way in goal with 22 saves.

Madonna (10-1-1, 3-1-1 WHAC) are 2-1-1 in their last four games including a 2-0 shutout against Aquinas (Mich.) College on October 8. Their only loss, 1-0, came at No. 7 University of Northwestern Ohio on September 28. The Crusaders have outscored their opponents 40-6, averaging 3.3 goals per game.

The Crusaders are led by Amadou Cisse with nine goals and nine assists for 27 points in 11 games. Billy Werthman is second on the team with seven goals and eight assists for 22 points in 12 games. Marcel Schmid has started 11 games for Madonna with 34 saves and five goals allowed in 965 minutes of action. Schmid has three shutouts on the season.

Cisse ranks second in the NAIA in total assists and fifth in assists per game at 0.820. Schmid ranks seventh in goals against per game at 0.470. Madonna ranks fifth in the NAIA in total shutouts with seven and seventh in total assists with 32. The Crusaders 40 goals ranks 10th in the NAIA.

The Blue Devils are 1-4 against Madonna with the only win coming last season in Southfield, a 3-1 win.
