SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University women's soccer team returns to the pitch on Wednesday, October 19 for a match-up at Concordia (Mich.) University at 1:00 P.M.
Lawrence Tech (10-3, 4-2 WHAC) is coming off a 1-0 win against Rochester College. Nicole Propst scored the only goal in the match off an assist from Aiyana Reid. Megan Dixon was in frame for the Blue Devils, recording five saves.
The Blue Devils have taken 129 shots on goal in 13 games, scoring 33 goals and 27 assists. Tia Lamie leads the Blue Devils with 11 goals and two assist. She is followed by Ally Nyboer with eight goals, nine assists, and Propst with seven goals and two assists. Heather Derstine has recorded 63 saves while allowing 11 goals in net and Megan Dixon records 16 saves with five goals allowed in five games.
LTU ranks 3rd in the WHAC for goals per game with 2.54 and they come in 2nd for assists per game with 2.08. The Blue Devils are 4th in shots per game, tallying 16.46, 3rd in shots on goal per game with 9.92 and 4th in saves per game, recording 4.85.
Concordia enters this match with a record of 7-7, 2-4 in the WHAC, scoring wins against Cornerstone (Mich.) University (2-0) and Indiana Institute of Technology (2-1). In the Cardinals' most recent game on October 15, they suffered a 2-0 loss to Aquinas (Mich.) College. Sydney Rouse, Janaya Lothian and Olyvia Putnam paced Concordia with one shot on goal apiece. Goalkeeper Maria Lulgjuraj finished the game with six saves on eight shots on goal.
The Cardinals have recorded 19 goals on 82 shots on goal and 14 assists. They are led by Rouse, Julia Palushaj and Heather Emke with four goals respectively. Lulgjuraj has allowed 19 goals while notching 69 saves.
