Wear Pink: Support Cancer Awareness on Wednesday as LTU hosts Concordia-AA

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men's soccer team is hosting its annual Pink Out match on Wednesday, October 19 against Concordia (Mich.) University - Ann Arbor at LTU Athletic Field in Southfield, Mich. Opening kickoff is set for 3 p.m.

Lawrence Tech (7-4-2, 2-3-2 WHAC) enter their third game in five days on Wednesday. The Blue Devils defeated Siena Heights (Mich.) University 1-0 on Monday, October 17. Andrew North (FR/Royal Oak, Mich. ) scored his first collegiate goal to lead LTU to the win.

The Blue Devils are outshooting their opponents 29-18 while averaging 5.6 shots on goal per game. Nico Rbp (FR/Madrid, Spain) leads the team in goals and assists eight and six respectively. Nico ranks 35th in the NAIA in total assist and 37th in assists per game at 0.500. Max Jewett (FR/Sterling Heights, Mich.) has recorded his second shutout in six starts as he made eight saves against SHU. Jewett has allowed 10 goals on 41 shots making 31 saves.

Concordia (6-8, 1-6 WHAC) come to Southfield on a four game losing streak as they lost to Aquinas (Mich.) College 3-2 in double overtime. Before that game, the Cardinals were held scoreless for three straight games being outscored 10-0.

Alex Vrzovski leads Concordia in goals with 13 and ranks 15th in the NAIA in total goals. Vrzovski also ranks 12th in goals per game (1.000) and 16th in total points with 29. Marino Moraccini leads the team in saves with 95, averaging 6.79 saves per game which ranks 12th in the NAIA.

Concordia ranks 19th in the NAIA in total saves with 97 ans 22nd in saves per game at 6.930. On the defensive side the Cardinals ranks 47th in goals allowed per game at 2.36.
