SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's soccer team gears up and gets ready for a road game with 8th ranked University of Northwestern Ohio at 3:00 P.M. at Racer Stadium.
Lawrence Tech (11-4, 5-3 WHAC) is coming off a 3-0 victory against Lourdes (Ohio) University on Saturday, October 22. Celebrated senior Nicole Propst was the first to strike, putting the Blue Devils up 1-0 just 11 minutes into the game. She also recorded an assist on one of Tia Lamie's two goals. Heather Derstine finished the game facing four shots on goal, making saves on each of them.
The Blue Devils continue to be led by Lamie who has notched 11 goals on the season, as well as two assists. Just behind her with eight goals and eight assists is Ally Nyboer and Propst has supplied seven goals and two assists so far this season.
UNOH enters this match 13-2, 7-1 in the WHAC. On Saturday, October 22 they rolled Cornerstone (Mich.) University, 5-0. Camilla Anderson led the Racers with two goals and one assist. Also scoring in the contest were Evdokia Popadinova, Laura Blanchard, and Hannah Baines. The Eagles were unable to get off a single shot on goal in the game.
The Racers lead the WHAC in four out of six categories, including goals per game (4.06), assists per game (3.25), shots per game (24.44) and shots on goal per game (12.75). Pacing UNOH this season is Anderson with 23 goals in 46 shots on goal. She also adds six assists. Laura Blanchard follows her with eight goals and seven assists, while Marie Adram has contributed seven goals and three assists and Popadinova provided seven goals and eight assists. Goalkeeper Nadine Stonjek has allowed 10 goals while making 25 saves in 13 matches.
