SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men's soccer team travels to Aquinas (Mich.) College on Saturday, October 29 for a 3:30 p.m. game in Grand Rapids, Mich. It is the final regular season game for the Blue Devils.
Lawrence Tech (9-5-2, 4-4-2 WHAC) are 4-1 in their last five matches including a 2-1 loss to No. 5-ranked Northwestern Ohio. Santiago Amigo (SO/Madrid, Spain) leads the team in goals over the last three matches with four goals, two game winners. Nico Rbp (FR/Madrid, Spain) leads the team in goals (9) and assists (7) with Amigo right behind for five goals. Freshman Ryan Resendes (FR/Windsor, ONT, Canada) has three goals and an assist. Max Jewett (FR/Sterling Heights, Mich.) has three shutouts and 36 saves while allowing 14 goals in 10 games played.
Aquinas (6-8-3, 5-5 WHAC) has lost their three last games including a 2-1 overtime loss at Cornerstone. Peter Brandenburg leads the way with three goals and six assists for 12 points. Alex Detwiler has three goals on the season while Luke Larson has three goals on 19 shots. Ty VandePoel has a team high five shutouts and 78 saves while allowing 22 goals.
The Saints are being outscored 24-17 including a 1.4 to 1.0 goals per game average.
