Lawrence Tech Travels to Fort Wayne for 7:00 P.M. Match with Indiana Tech

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University women's soccer team looks to add to their five-game winning streak on October 5 when they travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana for their match with Indiana Institute of Technology at 7:00 P.M.

Lawrence Tech (8-1, 3-0 WHAC) is coming off another milestone game, recording their first win against both a ranked opponent and #19 Siena Heights (Mich.) University. Tia Lamie scored the only goal in the game, giving the Blue Devils their 1-0 victory. Heather Derstine was in net for LTU, making eight saves, including one in the 90th minute that kept the game 1-0 giving LTU the win.

Indiana Tech enters this match 2-6-2, 1-1-0 WHAC. The Warriors blanked Lourdes (Ohio) University 2-0 in their most recent match on Saturday, October 2. Recording goals in the game were Kristen Roe and Marina Steffke. Adding assists were Becca Hoklas and Jessica Zurcher. Tailer Roscoe was in frame for the Warrios, making three saves.

Leading Indiana Tech this season is Zurcher with three goals and 25 shots, 14 on goal. She also adds three assists. Morgan Kroezen and Kristen Roe each add two goals on 11 and five shots on goal. Roscoe has recorded 51 saves on the season while allowing 18 goals.

The Blue Devils rank 2nd in the WHAC in goals per game at 3.33, just behind Davenport at number one with 3.44 goals per game. They lead the WHAC in assists per game and shots on goal per game, averaging 2.67 and 12.11. So far this season, they have held their opponents to 10.9 shots per game, while averaging 20.8 themselves.
