Blue Devils Fall in Quarterfinal

LIMA, Ohio - The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's soccer team fell 6-0 to the University of Northwestern Ohio on November 2 in the quarterfinal round of the WHAC tournament.

Camilla Andersen, WHAC Offensive Player of the Year, was the first to strike for UNOH, finding a pass from Robyn Moodaly and firing it to the back of the net. Andersen struck again at the 21:05-minute mark, this time from an assist by Kristin Tveit, putting the Racers up 2-0. UNOH added two more goals in the first period from Moodaly and Laura Blanchard.

Blanchard opened up the second period of play with another goal, making the score 5-nil. Two minutes later the Racers notched their final goal of the game at the feet of Marie Adram, sealing the match 6-0.

Ally Nyboer was the only Blue Devil able to get off a shot during the match, while UNOH fired 25, 14 on goal. Heather Derstine was in frame for LTU, recording eight saves.

The Blue Devils finish the 2016 season 11-7, 5-5 in the WHAC.
