LTU overwhelms UC-Clermont on Friday evening at LTU Athletic Field

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's soccer team recorded a 10-0 win over University of Cincinnati - Clermont (Ohio) in record setting fashion.

Lawrence Tech (4-1) matches their win total from a year ago with a program record 10 goals. Nicole Propst (SR/Warren, MI) finished the game with her second hat trick of her collegiate career while Tia Lamie (FR/Portage, Mich.) and Ally Nyboer (FR/Grandville, Mich.) continue their strong starts with a pair of goals each.

Nyboer recorded two goals and three assists while Lamie added two goals and an assist. They lead the team in goals with five each. Sarah Trapp (SO/Plymouth, Mich.) also finished with two goals and an assist as she sits fourth in points on the team with nine, four goals and an assist. Trapp opened the scoring in the eighth minute followed by Lamie and Trapp's second in the 16th minute. Propst notched the next two goals before Celeste Scott (SR/Dryden, Mich.) made it 6-0 in the 32nd minute.

It was all LTU in the second half as Propst added her third followed by Nyboer's first of the game. Lamie made it 9-0 in the 77th minute while Nyboer snuck a tenth goal in during the 89th minute.

The Blue Devils outshot UC-Clermont 43-6 and held a 12-0 advantage in corner kicks. Clermont made 16 saves while Dixon saw five shots on goal, making five saves for the shutout.

Lawrence Tech is back on the pitch Wednesday, September 21 against Cleary (Mich.) University at the LTU Athletic Field. Opening kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
