SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's soccer team fell to Indiana Tech 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon at LTU Athletic Field.
Lawrence Tech (3-6-1, 0-2-1) fell behind 1-0 in the 22nd minute when Kayla Saffran took a through ball off the goalkeeper and into the back of the net. The Blue Devils finished the game with six shots on goal, but the Warrior's goalkeeper made five saves to keep the clean sheet.Indiana Tech (7-4, 4-0) added a late goal to make it 2-0 in the 88th minute.
Rebecca Almandoz (FR/Palmiste, San Fernando, Trinid) got the start in net for Lawrence Tech and made six saves while Tia Lamie (SO/Portage, Mich.) had three shots on goal.
Lawrence Tech is back in action when they travel to Pontiac, Mich. to take on Rochester (Mich.) College at Ultimate Soccer. Opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
