Lawrence Tech Salvages 1-1 Tie with [RV] Siena Heights on Friday Afternoon

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's soccer team tied [RV] Siena Heights (Mich.) University 1-1 on Friday afternoon at the LTU Athletic Field.

Lawrence Tech (3-5-1, 0-1-1) trailed Siena Heights 1-0 after Kathryn Gordon scored on a through ball from Madison Tedora in the 32nd minute. Lawrence Tech responded in the 36th minute to tie the match at 1-1 on a Lauren Wasiak (FR/Walled Lake, Mich.) goal from Alayne Nyboer (SO/Grandville, Mich.).

Siena Heights (4-5-1, 1-1-1) outshot the Blue Devils in the overtime periods, but Rebecca Almandoz (FR/Palmiste, San Fernando, Trinid) kept the game scoreless to salvage the tie.

Tia Lamie (SO/Portage, Mich.) finished the match with a team high four shots on goal while Nyboer added two shots and an assist. Wasiak scored the lone goal for Lawrence Tech.

The Blue Devils are back on the field October 4 when they host Indiana Tech at LTU Athletic Field in Southfield, Mich. Kickoff set for 3 p.m.
