SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men's soccer team won on Homecoming, 4-0 over Siena Heights (Mich.) University at LTU Athletic Field.
Lawrence Tech (6-2-2, 2-0-1) got on the board first following a Chris Serwatka (JR/Troy, Mich.) corner kick that Adrian Miling (FR/Las Rozas, Madrid, Spain) pounced on and put into the back of the net for the game winner in the 11th minute. Sanitago Amigo made it 2-0 off a header in the 15th minute, taking a rebound off a corner kick. Andrew North (SO/Royal Oak, Mich. ) gave Lawrence Tech a 3-0 lead with another goal off a corner kick.
Siena Heights (3-6, 1-2) struggled against the Lawrence Tech defense, only amassing four shots - two on goal - in 90 minutes of action. LTU finished the game with 16 shots - seven on goal - with a 9-1 advantage on corner kicks. Max Jewett (SO/Sterling Heights, Mich.) made two saves to record his fourth shutout of the season.
The Blue Devils added one more goal in the 67th minute when Ryan Resendes (SO/Windsor, ONT, Canada) took a through pass from Alvaro Alaman (SO/Madrid, Spain) past the SHU keeper to make it 4-0.
Lawrence Tech is back on the pitch October 4 when they travel to Fort Wayne, Ind. to face Indiana Tech at 4 p.m.
