Lawrence Tech Falls at Indiana Tech 3-0

FORT WAYNE, Ind.- The Lawrence Technological University (Mich.) (8-5-1 | 5-2-0 WHAC) men's soccer team fell 3-0 against Indiana Tech this afternoon. This result puts the all-time series 2-4-1 in favor of the Warriors. The Blue Devils outshoot Indiana Tech 17-14, with six shots in the first half and 11 in the second. Lawrence Tech also led the corner kicks, as they had 11 and Indiana Tech did not have any.

The Warriors knocked in the first goal in the 39th minute when Richard Doll scored after receiving an assist from Mitch Smith. The teams went to halftime with a 0-1 score. Indiana Tech struck once again in the 52nd minute when Jaxon Simerman scored after receiving a rebound from a save by the Blue Devil goalkeeper Maxwell Jewett (JR/Sterling Heights, Mich.) to set the score 0-2. Brennan Cochran scored the last goal of the game five minutes later after receiving an assist from Simerman to give the Warriors the final lead of 0-3.

Lawrence Tech had eight shots on goal during the 90 minutes. Michael Avila (JR/Toronto, Ontario, Canada), Chris Serwatka (SR/Troy, Mich.), and Alvaro Garcia (JR/Mallorca, Spain) were the Blue Devils with most shots on goal, two each. Santiago Amigo (SR/Madrid, Spain) and Kevin Wright (JR/Linden, Mich.) followed them with one each.

The Blue Devils' next game will be against Siena Heights University (Mich.) in Adrian, Mich. on Wednesday, October 17 at 7:00 PM.
