SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University women's soccer team finishes their regular season with a match against University of Northwestern Ohio (20) on October 27 where the game is set to start at 12 p.m.
UNOH is at the top of the WHAC standings and is in the 20th spot in the NAIA. They are 9-1 in the WHAC and 11-3-3 overall. LTU comparably is 4-4-2 in the WHAC and 7-7-3 overall. Leading the Blue Devils into the game is Lauren Wasiak (SO/Walled Lake, Mich.) with 18 points and Alayne Nyboer (JR/Grandville, Mich.) with 16 points. In the net is goal minder Rebecca Almandoz (SO/Palmiste, San Fernando, Trinid) who has only let 22 balls past her this season and has saved 95 shots.
UNOH is led by Iris Rabot with 33 points, and right behind her is Jackie Gardner who has 30 points. Only two others have double digit points. If LTU can shut down these powerhouses, they could possibly keep up with this top ranked team.
After this game they will find out their standing in the WHAC and will play at the higher seeded team's turf.
