SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against Olivet (Mich.) College on Sunday afternoon in Southfield, Mich.
Lawrence Tech (3-3-1) battled the heat early and often as they got a first half goal from Lauren Wasiak (SO/Walled Lake, Mich.) (Randi Jannette (JR/Holly, Mich.)), who entered the game three minutes prior, giving Lawrence Tech a 1-0 lead in the 37th minute. Olivet responded in the 56th minute with a game-tying goal from Grace White with an assist from Abby Radcliffe.
Both teams battled back-and-forth for the remainder of regulation, but the game entered overtime after neither team was able to score down the stretch. In the first overtime period, the Blue Devils had one cornerkick, but were unable to get the game-winning goal. Alayne Nyboer (JR/Grandville, Mich.) had another cornerkick in the second overtime, but again it was defended well by the Comets.

Nyboer led the way with three shots on goal - one goal - while Sydne Everts (JR/Dansville, Mich.), Sarah Trapp (SR/Plymouth, Mich.), and Allexus Barnes (SO/Middleville, MI) each had one shot on goal. Emma Essen led the way for Olivet with three shots on goal while White had the lone goal for the Comets.
