SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University women's soccer team just couldn't keep with the Cardinals of Concordia University, losing 5-1 on September 29, moving to 4-5-1 overall and 1-2 in the WHAC.

The lone goal for the Blue Devils came from Alayne Nyboer (JR/Grandville, Mich.) in the first half. But the Cardinals (3-1-2, 2-0-1) kept on pushing, out shooting the Blue Devils 25-10. In net, Rebecca Almandoz (SO/Palmiste, San Fernando, Trinid) had 13 saves on 18 shots. LTU however let in the first goal only 35 seconds into the game, and from there they just couldn't climb their way back, even from Nyboer's goal, which was only her second of the season.

LTU travels to Ann Arbor, Mich. to face Aquinas College (Mich.) (7-3) on October 3 before heading back home to Southfield, Mich. to play Cleary University (Mich.) (5-3-1) on the LTU Athletic Field at 7 p.m..
