Women's Basketball Announces 2019-20 Season; Start off Hosting Tournament this Weekend in the LTU Blue Devils Classic

With several exhibition matches to go before they open their season, the Lawrence Technological University women's basketball team announces their schedule for their 2019-2020 campaign.

To start off their season, they host the LTU Blue Devils Classic which starts Friday, October 25th at 5:00 p.m. versus Point Park University (Penn). They play again on Saturday, October 26th against Xavier University (La.) at 4:00 p.m. to conclude their tournament. Then, to open November up, the Blue Devils play at home on November 2nd against Alma (Mich.) at 3:00 in an exhibition match.

Opening their season, the team hosts Grace Christian University (Mich.) on Wednesday, November 6th before heading to Taylor University(Ind.) on November 8th in Marion, Ind. to face the Trojans in the Leah Whittaker Memorial Tournament. On Saturday, they continue playing in the Tournament against Indiana Wesleyan University. Back at home the following Saturday, November 16th, they begin WHAC competition, facing Cornerstone University (Mich.) at 1:00 p.m. They then travel to face University of Northwestern Ohio at 6:00 on November 20th. On the 23rd, they are back against to face Concordia - Ann Arbor at 1:00 p.m at Don Ridler. To conclude their November stand, they travel to face Indiana Institute of Technology on Tuesday, November 26th before taking over a week off.

In December, the Blue Devils travel to Aquinas College (Mich.) on December 7th for a match before coming back home for a game against Holy Cross College (Ind.) on Wednesday the 11th at home at 6:00 p.m. Then on Saturday, December 14th, they are home once again to face Michigan-Dearborn for a 1:00 p.m. tip off. To sound off before a trip down to Florida, the Blue Devils face Northwood University (Mich.) on Saturday, December 21st.

Following a slim Winter break, the Blue Devils travel down to Florida to face two opponents. The first of which is against Johnson and Wales (Florida) on December 29th and the second against Keiser University (Fla.) on December 30th.

To continue their stride to off-season, the Blue Devils start January off early with a match on January 4th versus Madonna at home. They stay at home for January 8th with a match against Rochester College. Then, hitting the road on Saturday, January 11th, they travel to face Seina Hieghts University (Mich.) before heading back home on January 15th to face Lourdes University at 6:00 p.m.. Then, they start again facing the same WHAC teams for the second time with Concordia Golden Eagles up first on January 18th on the road.  Back home on the 22nd, they host UNOH at 6:00 p.m.. That same week, on January 25th, they come back home to host the Saints of Aquinas. On Wednesday, January 29th, the conclude January with a match on the road against Concordia.

Opening up February, they travel to University of Michigan-Dearborn on Saturday, February 1st. They then go to Madonna on Saturday, February 8th to face the Saints. Coming back home, they welcome Indiana Tech on February 12th at home where tip off is set for 6:00 p.m. Concluding their regular season home stand, they bring in the Saints of Siena Heights on Saturday, the 15th.

To conclude their regular season, the Blue Devils play at Lourdes on February 19th and Rochester College on Saturday, February 22nd before heading into a hopeful post-season.
