SOUTHFIELD, Mich.-The Blue Devils of Lawrence Technological University (Mich.) fell to the No. 9 ranked Pilots of Bethel University (Ind.) inside the Weikamp Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon by a score of 73-105. The Blue Devils came into the game after a hard-fought victory last Friday night looking to make it two in a row for the first time since early on in the season. The Pilots had a different version of tonight's game in which they dominated over the course of 40 minutes. The Blue Devils seemed to not be able to answer the call tonight on the offensive side and defensive end of things all afternoon.

At one point the Pilots heled a 39 point lead over the Blue Devils. While the score would show a blowout of sorts it was a learning step for this young Blue Devils team. Coach Pickens stated that "While we aren't able to get it done and our play wasn't great over the course of 40 minutes we continue to POUND THE PAVEMENT" stating further that "we will give the guys the next day off and hit the ground running for a tough team in Madonna next Thursday." The Blue Devils haven't been able to string together a series of wins since the early half of the season getting their first win last Friday night since November 23^rd. The Blue Devils had four guys in double digits tonight with Jordan Henry leading the way with 23 points respectively. While Freshman Gunnar Gustafson and Junior Alek Ivanovic had 11 points each, with the Sophomore Carter Frantz closing it out with 10 points himself. Overall the Blue Devils struggled across the board shooting 44% from the field, 33% from downtown, and 58% from the charity stripe. While also being outrebounded 24-51 by the Pilots and turning the ball over 16-14 respectively.

Looking ahead to next week the Blue Devils kick off the new year with a home conference clash against the Crusaders of Madonna University inside the Don Ridler Field House. Tip is slated for 7 pm in what is a pivotal game for the young Blue Devils, who look to start the New Year off on a winning foot.
