SOUTHFIELD, Mich.- The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's tennis team will face off with Aquinas (Mich.) College in the semifinals of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament on Tuesday, April 23. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. at the MVP Sportsplex in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Last week, WHAC Tournament's third-seeded Lawrence Tech (11-10, 3-2) defeated No. 6 Concordia (Mich.) University-Ann Arbor, 5-3, in the first round. Aquinas (12-6, 4-1) earned a first-round bye as the Saints qualified to the tournament seeded in second place.
This is the second time the sides meet this season. On Saturday, March 30, LTU dropped a 5-4 decision to the Saints in WHAC action.
The other semifinal matchup will be between No. 1 University of Northwestern Ohio and No. 5 Indiana Tech. The winners of the semifinals will play for the championship on Friday, April 26.
