SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The (RV) Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University women's volleyball team defeated UM-Dearborn 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-14) on Wednesday night in Dearborn, Mich.

Lawrence Tech (7-1) was led by Varvara Gromakova with nine kills and two block assists while Zakia Hunt added eight kills and four block assists. Kristi Doherty added 20 assists with five aces while Jessica Lodge added seven kills and one digs.

The Blue Devils trailed early in the first set 13-9, but a 9-0 run gave Lawrence Tech an 18-13 lead and LTU never looked back. LTU took the first set 25-14 and won the second set 25-13 after going up 6-0 to start the set. Lawrence Tech followed with a 25-14 win in set three.

Lawrence Tech is back in action on September 18 when they travel to Lourdes (Ohio) University. First serve set for 7 p.m. EDT.
