Blue Devils Conference Struggles Continue in Loss to UNOH

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. The men's basketball team returned to the Don Ridler Field House looking to bounce back from their loss last Saturday afternoon after being in the game for a good portion of it. The Racers of Northwestern Ohio looked to redeem themselves after losing the first game in the series this year against the Blue Devils and that was the case. With the Blue Devils of Lawrence Technological University (Mich.) losing to the Racers of Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday evening to the tune of 53-60. This has been the theme all year for this young Blue Devils team who continue to struggle to put it together in conference play moving to 3-9 in conference play and 8-11 overall.

Overall the Blue Devils shot 21-58 (36.2%) from the field and 6-29 (20.7%) from beyond on the arc and it wasn't much better at the charity stripe tonight for the Blue Devils who shot 5-10 (50%) on the night. Three Blue Devils saw double digits with both sophomores Jordan Henry and Carter Frantz having 12 points each. The freshman big man Gunnar Gustafson had 10 points on the night. The Blue Devils won the battle on the boards last night 44-42 outrebounding the Racers by two.

Looking ahead the Blue Devils look to grab a crucial win against the Saints of Aquinas on Saturday afternoon in the Don Ridler Field House. The Blue Devils will be participating in the Coaches vs Cancer national campaign on Saturday and will be accepting donations to the American Cancer Society. Tip-off is set for 3 pm inside the Don Ridler Field House.
