SOUTHFIELD, Mich.- The Lawrence Tech Women's Soccer Program kicked off a two-game homestead Saturday, October 17th, with a win against the visiting Grey Wolves of Lourdes University. It marks the Blue Devils second win of the year and their second in the conference also.
The Blue Devils got on the board first at the 20:29 mark with coming off a goal from freshman Jenny Dear who put the Blue Devils up 1-0. The Blue Devils found the back of the net again, this time coming from DiOnna Hill at the 28:56 mark of the first half off an assist from Lauren Wasiak, making in 2-0. Freshman Jenny Dear found the back of the net for the second time on the afternoon coming at the 38:05 mark of the first half. The Grey Wolves would score off a defensive lapse at the 40:34 mark of the first half, making it 3-1.
Overall the Blue Devils had twenty shots on the afternoon, coming off four saves and ten shots on goal. Freshman Jenny Dear had two goals on the day with numerous attempts to make it three goals on the day but her attempts to make it three goals were unsuccessful.
The Blue Devils push forward to the second of their two-game homestead on Tuesday, October 20th, taking on the Golden Eagles of Cornerstone. Game times slated for 7 pm on Tuesday, October 20th.
