Box Score PONTIAC, Mich.- The Lawrence Tech Men's soccer team hit the road after a two-game homestead last week for their only game on the week on Friday, October 23rd, taking on the Warriors of Rochester University. Friday afternoons game at Ultimate Soccer Arena got moved up a half-hour and moved inside due to weather in the area. That wasn't an issue for the Blue Devils as they scored six goals on the afternoon to grab the win in Pontiac to the tune of 6-2. It marks the fourth win of the year for the Blue Devils, moving them to 4-1 overall.
Overall the Blue Devils came out swinging, grabbing a goal by freshman Alex Fernandez coming off the skip from Aleksander Spirovski at the 16:37 mark of the first half going up 1-0. From there freshman, Samuel Ray popped one in the back of the net off the assist from senior Juan Jaramillo to make it 2-0 at the 27:12 mark of the first half. The freshman sensation Kean Lam back on the pitch for the first time in a couple of weeks, grabbed a goal off the assist from senior Juan Jaramillo, pushing the Blue Devils lead to 3-0 at the 29:39 mark of the first half. Kean Lam found the net again, this time at the 35:49 mark off the assist from Alex Braeseker, pushing the lead to 4-0. The Blue Devils wouldn't score again until the second half of the game, coming at the 56:05 mark of the game with a Juan Jaramillo goal to go up 5-1. Jaden King sealed the victory for the Blue Devils with a goal at the 86:21 mark off an assist from Aleksander Spirovski to go up 6-2.
The Blue Devils finished the day with 17 shots, seven corner kicks, six fouls, and one save in the win against the Warriors. Goalie Riley Alexander saw two goal attempts, with three of them coming on goal, and garnered one save. Overall the Blue Devils garnered thirteen shots on goal and a total of five assists. Tyler Gregory and Alvaro Gurrea both earned yellow cards in the win for the Blue Devils.
Looking ahead, the Blue Devils finish out the fall season with a two-game homestead taking on the Golden Eagles of Cornerstone on Wednesday, October 28th, at 7 pm at Blue Devils Stadium. Then the Cardinals of Concordia Ann Arbor make the short drive to Southfield to take on the Blue Devils at Blue Devils Stadium in a Saturday matinee on October 31st, at 3 pm.
