Fort Wayne, IN. – The Lawrence Tech Women's Volleyball got swept in their match on the road as they traveled to Fort Wayne, Indiana and faced the Warriors of Indiana Tech. The Warriors were very focused in this one as they took care of home court inside the Schaefer Center on Kline Court. The Blue Devils had another slow start as they went down 2-0, and continue their struggles in the third set to lose the match. Indiana Tech defeated Lawrence Tech in straight sets in this match (19,25, 16,25, 19,25).
Isabella McDonald and Riley O'Connell were both team leaders in total attempts and kills in this one. Isabella added 34 total attempts, along with 7 kills. Riley ended with 37 total attempts and 11 kills. Gneiss Aramburu led the team with 13 assists and freshman Setter, Nicole Whan pitched in 7 assists of her own. Leading the team in digs for the third straight game in a row was Senior libero, Shelby Rasch with 13. Another Blue Devil that got in the action defensively was Junior, Reinali Calisin, who added eight digs. The leaders on the day for hit percentage for the match were middle hitter Madeline Hudson (.211), and Freshman, middle hitter Madison Morris (.200). The team's total kills for the match were 32. The team's assist total was 27 for the match. The Blue Devils did struggle, as they ended the match with 10 service errors. LTU ended the match with 3.0 blocks and also finished with 123 total attacks. 46 was the total number of digs for the team in the match.
The Lawrence Tech Blue Devils (1-4) next match will be at home on Halloween, Saturday, October 31st against conference opponent Rochester University inside the Don Ridler Fieldhouse.
