Box Score SOUTHFIELD, Mich.- The Lawrence Tech Men's Soccer program earned their first win of the season on Saturday, October 3rd, on the pitch at Blue Devils Stadium. This win was a defying win for the Blue Devils, who scored seven goals on the afternoon and allowing just one goal to find the back of the net on defense.
Rece Still started the day off for the Blue Devils, putting one in the back of the net at the 5:35 mark of the first half. It was Still's first goal of his career here at Lawrence Tech; Juan Jaramillo and Marco Rufino assisted him on the goal. From there, the Blue Devils would strike again at the 32:21 mark of the first half with Kean Lam finding the back of the net unassisted. It marked his first of his career and first of three goals on the day. The Blue Devils would strike again at the 38:08 mark of the first half with Marco Rufino finding the net's back for his first goal of the year. Not so fast as the Blue Devils scored for the fourth time in the first half scoring at the 41:32 mark by none other than the freshman Kean Lam for his second goal of the season.
As the second half got underway, it was evident that the Blue Devils were in full command of the pitch at this point. However, the Blue Devils found the back of the net again, scoring at the 57:25 of the game. The goal was scored by Mario Colella and assisted by Matt Sherman for their first connection of the year. The Bulldogs of Adrian College, though, would score at the 59:51 mark of the game, making it 5-1. Tyler Gregory would score at the 68:55 mark of the match scoring his first goal of the season and was assisted by Alex Fernandez. Kean Lam solidified his debut as a Blue Devil with the third goal of the 74:04 mark of the game unassisted.
The Blue Devils head to Ft. Wayne on Saturday, October 10th, for their first WHAC matchup of the year as they take on Indiana Tech; game time is slated for 6:00 PM.
