Box Score DEARBORN, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University men's basketball team fell on the road to the University of Michigan Dearborn 70-65 on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Blue Devils (9-13, 4-11) kept pace with the Wolverines (14-10, 7-7) in the first half, going 27 to UM's 31. Gustafson had nine points alone in the half and went 4 for 5 inside the paint. The teams were neck and neck, with LTU up 25-22 after an Isaiah Cumberlands free throw. Then, Carter Frantz made a lay up with a little over two minutes left in the game. After Frantz's lay up, LTU was stifled by the Wolverines who went on a streak to go into half time up.
The second half, the teams continued to battle, but that four point lead was devastating for the Blue Devils. Grabbing 38 points in this half to the Dearborn's 39. In this half, LTU was led by vet Alek Ivanovic, who had 12 points and went 50% from both inside and outside. Only seconds into the new half, Beavers made a three point shot to narrow the lead to four following a dearborn lay up and free throw. Then, Beavers stole the ball right back and slammed one into the hoop to narrow the lead by two. Adding to the hustle was Alex Ivanovic who moments later took the lead with a three point shot.
After a three minute stalemate from both teams, Jordan Henry made a free throw. While Dearborn added a field goal of their own, Henry hit a three to make the lead 39-36. In continued to be back and back. However, at the ten minute mark the Wolverines took the lead and continued to sprint ahead. Both the Blue Devils and the Wolverines struggle offensively in the second, with either team not hitting more than 38% in the field goal range nor the three point range.
