ACHA DI WHAC Tournament Run Ends at Home with 5-2 loss to UM-Dearborn on Saturday Afternoon

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University ACHA DI team ended their season at home while they hosted the WHAC tournament after falling to UM-Dearborn 5-2.

Dearborn (26-6-2) beat LTU (15-12-0) for the fifth time this season after four straight wins in the regular season versus the Blue Devils.

The game started off with Dearborn scoring the first goal in the second quarter. However, LTU steamed rolled back with hope with a power play goal by Bryce Ebert and assists from Edward Flood. Then, with only four minutes left in the period, Thimo Ey scored another goal, this time assisted by Matthew Nyrkkanen. LTU grabbed the lead for the first and last time in the game as they ended the period up 2-0.

In the third, the Wolverines came out and scored a quick goal within two minutes of the period starting. They then went on to score three more goals, grabbing the win and advancing to the next round with a score of 5-2. In net, Christian Kazoleas had 37 saves on 41 shots.
