Farmington Hills, Mich.- The Lawrence Tech ACHA D1 Hockey team looked to bounce back Friday night inside the Farmington Hills Ice Arena against the Wolverines of UM-Dearborn after struggling to find the net on Thursday night against UM-Dearborn.

The Blue Devils looked like a different team on Friday night after giving up five goals on Thursday night. Coming out with a defensive effort that kept the first period scoreless it was looking to be a much more promising night for the Blue Devils. As the second period got underway the Wolverines would find the net at the 5:28 mark of the second period making it 1-0. This would be the only goal of the second period and both teams playing back and forth in each other's zones it was a matter of time until one of the teams scored again. The third period would get under way and the Blue Devils would put one in the net at the 11:24 mark with the senior Alex Schluter scoring coming off the assists from Sean Pilet and Alec Allen. With the game knotted up 1-1 a piece here in the third period who was going to go the extra mile for the win. UM-Dearborn answered the call finding the net for their second goal of the night coming at the 18:38 mark of the third period making it 2-1. The Blue Devils pushing it into the Wolverines zone couldn't find the net however the rest of the night. With the Wolverines finding the net for the final time at the 19:10 mark of the third period making it 3-1.

Looking ahead the Blue Devils will look to take one on Saturday night in the final game against UM-Dearborn and look to solidify their positioning in the WHAC Hockey Playoffs. Puck drop is slated for 7 pm at the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena Saturday, February 8, 2020. This will be the final WHAC game of the year for the Blue Devils before playing against Cleary on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the Farmington Hills Ice Arena.
