HOW IT HAPPENED
The Crusaders got up to an early lead (20-7, 12-5) on LTU (9-14, 4-12) in the first five minutes of the game. However, a three point shot sunk by Ivanovic brought them within one with 15 minutes left. Then, after a battle between MU and Lawrence tech, a three point shot from Beavers tied the game up 12-12. Despite this, the game continued to go back and forth with Blue Devils playing a game of catch up, ending the half down 44-40.
The second half opened up with Madonna going on to score five points in the first two minutes before LTU could grab one via a free throw. Then, Madonna stretched ahead again, going up 55-44 and eventually stretching the lead to 19 points. After, Lawrence Tech rallied once again to push the score difference to nine with a layup by isaiah Cumberland. Yet, Madonna pushed on, and did not let the Blue Devils within 12 for the final ten minutes of the game.
Next up, LTU faces (RV) Indiana Tech at home for their second and final match up of the regular season. The last time these two teams met, LTU fell 55-70.
