Southfield MI – The Lawrence Technological University women's volleyball team fell down two sets to none and forced a fourth set but were unable to draw the match even as they fell in four sets 21-25, 21-25, 25-22, 23-25 to Aquinas College on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened:

Set 1:

• Shelby Rasch service ace gave LTU a 10-5 lead
• Saints knot set at 15-15 with service ace of their own
• Lexie Kallio kill keeps the score tied at 17-17
• Aquinas never trails for the rest of the set, ending it on an 8-4 run

Set 2:

• Madeline Hudson kill put LTU ahead 14-11
• 6-2 run by Saints allows them to retake lead 17-16
• Kallio halts run off set from Nicole Whan
• Aquinas closes out the set with another 8-4 run

Set 3:

• Erika Reed kills gives LTU a 12-11 lead
• Pair of Saints attack errors extends margin to three, 19-16
• Alysha Vipushan finds Lindsay Hubler for the finish to make it 21-16
• Whan sets up Reed for a kill to ice set at 24-20

Set 4:

• Ellery Cure kill gives Blue Devils 14-11 advantage
• Aquinas ties set at 18-18
• Hubler kill keeps set deadlocked at 22-22
• Saints register kills on 3-of-4 points to close out the match
