Livonia, MI - The Lawrence Technological University men's soccer team played conference opponent Madonna University on the road on Saturday afternoon. The game was tight up until the last minute of play as Madonna scored late to secure the 2-1 victory.  

Madonna jumped on the board early in the first half to put them up 1-0 in the 14th minute.

LTU could not find any offense in the first half as they entered the break down 1-0

Late in the second half, Blue Devils defensemen, Bryce Nicholson was able to find the back of the net in the 71st minute to knot things back up at one.

In the 89th minute of the match, a cross from the Crusaders set up a header goal that was just outside the reach of goalkeeper Riley Alexander to give the Crusaders the win 2-1. 

LTU recorded a season-high 20 shots with five on goal.

The next match for the Blue Devils is on Wednesday, October 6th as the team travels across the state to Grand Rapids, Michigan to compete against Aquinas College. This match will begin at 7 PM.
