Grand Rapids, MI - The Lawrence Technological University Blue Devils men's D1 hockey team took on the Aquinas Saints in a clash between WHAC teams.
 
How It Happened:
 
First Period:
  • Chippy play leads to a combined five penalties between the teams.
  • Blake Heier scores a power-play goal, assisted by Ethan Grover and Cole Therrian to give the Blue Devils a 1-0 lead.
Second Period:
  • Even more chippy play led to a combined nine penalties between the teams, but no goals were scored.
Third Period
  • After an empty second period, in terms of goals, they returned in the third.
  • Cole Therrian extends the Blue Devil lead to two, off an Adam Rebecca pass, with 16:55 remaining in the game.
  • Aquinas scores their lone goal, one of them the power-play variety, with 11:40 remaining.
  • The chippy play continued as there were now 11 penalties between the teams this period.
 
Spencer Krul saved 22 of 23 shots in victory.
