Mens Soccer Beats Cornerstone 2-0

Grand Rapids, MI - The Lawrence Technological University men's soccer team was on the road Wednesday evening against Cornerstone University. The Blue Devils won 2-0 to move their win streak to five games in a row.

Eight minutes after the whistle was blown, Skander Larfaoui saw a beautiful pass from teammate Bryce Nicholson that found the back of the net with ease. Larfaoui now has five goals on the season.

LTU was able to enter the half up 1-0. This is now their fifth game in a row when they score first, and all five games have resulted in a win.

It took the Blue Devils 80 minutes later to score their second goal of the match when Juan Jaramillo scored after the ball was deflected off of a Golden Eagle defender. Jaramillo now has four goals this season.

LTU won 2-0.

Goalkeeper, Marko Matovski has not lost a game all year as he earned his fifth win of the season. Matovski saw three shots on goal, with three saves. 

The Blue Devils will look to hold onto the number two spot heading into the WHAC Tournament when they host #9 Indiana Tech, who has already locked up the top seed, on Saturday, October 30th at 7 pm. It is also senior day for LTU.
