Grand Rapids, MI – The Lawrence Technological University women's volleyball team were defeated by the Aquinas College Saints in straight sets 20-25, 21-25, 22-25 on Friday night.

First Set:

• Riley O'Connell ace gave LTU an early 4-1 lead
• Gneiss Aramburu ace gave LTU an 8-5 lead
• Aquinas responded with 7-of-9 to open up a 12-10 advantage
• Blue Devils responded with a 5-0 run of their own to re-take the lead
• Aquinas takes 11-of-15 to lead 23-19
• Lindsay Hubler kill cut it to 23-20 before Aquinas closed out the set

Second Set:

• Teams traded points before a Riley O'Connell kill give LTU a 10-8 lead
• Lourdes answered by taking the next four points
• A couple of Lindsay Hubler aces brought LTU within one at 19-18
• The Saints take the final four points to close out the set.

Third Set:

• A Madeline Hudson kill gave LTU an early 6-2 advantage
• Saints countered with 18-of-23 to take the lead 20-11
• Blue Devils retaliate with 11-of-15 to bring it to 24-22
• Meredith Kraus kill ends the match.
